Theory
वे same students के लिए same lab में same shelf occupy करते हैं।
At a glance
Raspberry Pi बनाम Arduino (decision table)
| Aspect | Raspberry Pi | Arduino |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Single-board COMPUTER (microprocessor) | MICROCONTROLLER board |
| Processing / memory | High; GBs RAM + microSD | Minimal; KBs |
| Real-time control | OS latency/jitter add करता है | Excellent, deterministic |
| Analog input | Natively कोई नहीं (external ADC चाहिए) | Built-in ADC / analog pins |
| Programming | एक OS पर Python + कई languages | Arduino IDE के ज़रिए C/C++ sketch |
Formula
Choosing Rule, Boxed
- simple, real-time, low-power sensing और control चाहिए → Arduino
Quiz
Show the answer
Option A processing power को analog capability से confuse करता है।
Think first
Show the answer
40 room-nodes के लिए Arduino: cheap, ultra-low-power (एक cell पर एक साल), real-time, analog temperature सीधे पढ़ते हुए: 40 Pis wasteful, power-hungry और expensive होते।
Watch out
Comparison Slips
"Pi बस एक better Arduino है": वे DIFFERENT categories हैं (computer बनाम microcontroller), better/worse नहीं: Arduino power, real-time, और native analog में जीतता है।
Theory
Unit 5 workbench से पूरी तरह उठकर WORLD में IoT देखती है: तीन case studies: smart city, smart home, और health and lifestyle: जहाँ चारों units के ideas scale पर play out होते हैं।
Summary
Key takeaways
- Pi: high processing, GBs RAM, ज़्यादा power, कई languages; Arduino: minimal, KBs, ultra-low-power, C/C++ sketch।
