Theory

Theory

Sensor,

  • sensor એ input transducer છે (world in, signal out)
  • actuator એ output transducer છે (signal in, action out: Unit 3 માં)

Theory

Theory

  • digital: Discrete output, ઘણી વાર માત્ર on/off.

Quiz

Show the answer

Option D precise continuous reading આપતા perfectly good analog sensor ને ફેંકી દે છે; ADC એને રાખવા દે છે.

Think first

Show the answer

Temperature sensor INPUT transducer છે: એ physical quantity (heat energy) ને electrical signal માં convert કરે છે: world in, signal out. Pump OUTPUT transducer, એટલે actuator છે: એ electrical signal ને physical action (mechanical energy, water movement) માં convert કરે છે: signal in, action out. Symmetry મુખ્ય insight છે: sensors અને actuators એ same transducer idea ની બે directions છે, દરેક IoT device ની perception અને action halves.

Watch out

Sensing concept slips

Theory

Summary

Key takeaways

  • Analog sensors continuous voltage આપે છે (LM35); digital sensors discrete/on-off output આપે છે (PIR).
  • Sensor characteristics: range, sensitivity, accuracy, resolution અને response time job માટેની fitness નક્કી કરે છે.
