Theory
Information architecture,
Good IA નો અર્થ છે કે Rahul think કરે છે 'registration Events ની નીચે હોવું જોઈએ' અને એ IS: structure એની expectation ને match કરે છે.
Theory
Result એ users નું mental model reveal કરે છે: કદાચ first-years 'Register' ને 'Events' ની નીચે buried નહીં પણ its own top item તરીકે expect કરે છે.
Quiz
- Colours wrong
- Font size too large
Show the answer
Options A, C અને D બધા VISUAL tweaks છે જે findability problem ને fix નથી કરી શકતા.
Think first
Show the answer
Watch out
IA slips
Internal-jargon labels: section ને તમારા database table અથવા org chart દ્વારા name કરવું ('User Records') user ના word ('My Registrations') ને બદલે content ને plain sight માં bury કરે છે.
YOUR logic દ્વારા organising: structure ને USER ના mental model દ્વારા (card sorting), system ના દ્વારા નહીં.
Too deep: key content
Theory
Summary
Key takeaways
- એ invisible skeleton છે: good હોય ત્યારે unnoticed, bad હોય ત્યારે crippling; visual polish bad IA ને fix નથી કરી શકતું.
- Components: organization (grouping), labeling (user ની language), navigation, search.
