Terms of use
DRAFT. Not in effect.
This is a draft of the terms for using Gri-Learn. It has not been checked by a lawyer and it does not apply to you or to us yet. The words in [brackets] are gaps that still need a real answer. The document in force today is the Privacy Policy.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
1. Who we are
Gri-Learn is a study app for B.C.A. students, on the web at grishu.com and as a phone app. It is run by Grishu ([LEGAL NAME AND FORM OF THE BUSINESS], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]). You can reach us at info@grishu.com.
The lessons follow a university syllabus. [OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether to state that Gri-Learn is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university]
2. Who can use it
- If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to have an account. The app asks for it when you sign up, and a parent or guardian can withdraw it.
- One account is for one person. Please do not share your sign-in.
3. What it costs
Everything in Gri-Learn is free today, and nothing in the syllabus is behind a payment. If any of this ever costs money, you will see the price before you agree to anything, and the lessons themselves will stay free.
4. If you buy something
- Everything for sale is listed on the pricing page, with its price in Indian rupees, what it includes and for how long, before you pay. The price on the checkout page, before you press Pay, is the whole amount. [OWNER TO CONFIRM: how tax is shown, once GST is decided]
- You pay on the website, through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking or wallets). Your card and UPI details are typed on Razorpay’s page and never reach us. The phone app does not sell anything.
- Every purchase is a one-time payment. Nothing renews or charges you again by itself.
- What you buy is added to your account once Razorpay confirms the payment to us, and you can use it on the website and in the app. A pass for a number of days starts when you pay; a second pass bought while one is running starts when the first ends.
- If you are under 18: [LAWYER: whether a purchase needs a parent or guardian’s approval, and how]
- Refunds and cancellation are in the refund and cancellation policy, which is also a draft. A refund ends the access that purchase gave you.
- If something you paid for stops being offered while your access is still running: [OWNER TO DECIDE, for example a refund of the part you did not use]
- Deleting your account ends anything you paid for, because there is no account left to hold it.
5. Using it fairly
- Use it to study. Do not try to break it, overload it, or get into other people’s accounts.
- Do not copy the lessons in bulk, or republish them, without asking us first.
- If you publish anything inside Gri-Learn (for example a quiz), it must be yours to share, and it must not be unlawful or hurtful to others.
- [LAWYER: what we may do about a breach, such as suspending an account]
6. The lessons, and what they are not
We write the lessons carefully and check them, but they can still contain mistakes, and they are a study aid, not a replacement for your syllabus, your teachers or your university’s own material. Answers from an AI tutor, where the app offers one, can be wrong. Gri-Learn does not promise any exam result.
The lessons and the app belong to Grishu. You may use them for your own study.
7. Your account and your data
What we keep about you, and why, is in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or from the delete-account page.
8. The legal part
- Limits of our liability: [LAWYER TO DRAFT]
- Which law applies, and which courts: [LAWYER TO DRAFT]
- How we will tell you about changes to these terms: [LAWYER TO DRAFT, for example by email and a notice in the app]
