Riya નો skill course દર શનિવારે સવારે computer lab માં મળે છે. Jay નો course સંપૂર્ણ online છે: recorded lectures અને weekly quizzes. Arjun નો કોઈ class નથી; તે Navsari ની એક shop પર report કરે છે.
ત્રણ સંપૂર્ણપણે જુદા અઠવાડિયા. છતાં ત્રણેય BCA306 સાચી રીતે કરી રહ્યા છે.
એક જ subject આટલો અલગ કેવી રીતે દેખાઈ શકે? કારણ કે SEC કેવી રીતે શીખવવું એ નક્કી કરતું નથી: એ outcome નક્કી કરે છે અને delivery ને skill પ્રમાણે ગોઠવવા દે છે.

Skill પોતાનું vehicle પસંદ કરે છે
તમે lectures દ્વારા cycling શીખશો નહીં, અને swimming pool માં history પણ નહીં શીખો. દરેક skill માટે એક natural vehicle હોય છે: કેટલીક explanation દ્વારા સારી રીતે શીખાય છે, કેટલીક machine પર વારંવાર practice કરવાથી, અને કેટલીક તો field માં ગયા વગર શીખી જ શકાતી નથી. SEC નો delivery rule ફક્ત આ વાત સ્વીકારે છે: subject પોતે નક્કી કરે કે એને કેવી રીતે શીખવવું.

Rule સીધી ભાષામાં
BCA306 નીચેના કોઈ પણ એક અથવા કોઈ પણ combination દ્વારા deliver થઈ શકે છે:
- Theory: classroom અથવા online માં concepts શીખવવા
- Practical: સામાન્ય રીતે lab માં tool પર supervised સમય
- Fieldwork: campus બહારના real sites પર શીખવું
- Internship: કોઈ organisation ની અંદર કામ કરવું
- Project: કંઈક બનાવીને submit કરવું
આ blend course ની પસંદગી છે; તમારા 2 credits અને evaluation pattern એના કારણે બદલાતા નથી.

Combination: theory + practical + project
Combinations ને સ્પષ્ટ રીતે મંજૂરી છે: theory, practical, fieldwork, internship અને project માંથી કોઈ એક અથવા કોઈ પણ mix. આ course ત્રણ modes નું blend છે. એ pure theory નથી, કારણ કે lab hours અને submission મુખ્ય ભાગ છે; અને organisation માં placement ન હોવાથી એ internship પણ નથી. Course ની delivery line વાંચશો તો તમારું અઠવાડિયું કેવું હશે એ પહેલેથી સમજાશે.

Combination શા માટે?
પહેલાં વિચારો: એક જ mode કરતાં modes નું blend કોઈ skill શીખવવામાં વધુ સારું કેમ હોઈ શકે?

કારણ કે skill માં knowing part અને doing part બંને હોય છે. Theory તમને map આપે છે: names, concepts અને why. Practice તમારા હાથ તૈયાર કરે છે: speed, muscle memory અને error recovery. Project અથવા field component કોઈ real વસ્તુ પર skill ને end to end સાબિત કરે છે. Pure theory ક્યારેય ability બનતી નથી; concepts વગરનું pure doing પણ વહેલું અટકી જાય છે. સૌથી સારા courses પહેલાં map આપે છે અને પછી તમને વાસ્તવિક રસ્તા પર ચલાવે છે.

Label ખોટી રીતે વાંચવો
બે traps યાદ રાખો. પહેલું, lecture count પરથી effort નક્કી કરવો: 'classes બહુ ઓછી છે, એટલે course સરળ હશે' એવું માનવું ખોટું છે; કામ lab, field અથવા project માં થતું હોઈ શકે છે. બીજું, non-lecture sessions ને optional માનીને skip કરવું: skill course માં practical hours જ course છે, અને ત્યાંની attendance તથા work logs સામાન્ય રીતે તમારા internal marks માં ગણાય છે (ચોક્કસ split તમારી institute નક્કી કરે છે).

Basket list આવે ત્યારે દરેક course ની delivery line પહેલાં વાંચો: એ તમારા અઠવાડિયાનો preview છે. તમે કેવી રીતે શીખો છો અને skill શું માંગે છે એ પ્રમાણેનું blend પસંદ કરો. આ જ 5 શબ્દોનું vocabulary (theory, practical, fieldwork, internship, project) તમારા VAC (BCA307) માં ફરી આવશે અને આગળના project semesters માં પણ દેખાશે.
